Walt Disney once had a vision …

In the early '60s, Walt Disney and his corporation began purchasing properties around Orlando, Florida. Much of the property was purchased by dummy corporations and done quietly. His dream was to open a place similar to Disneyland in California.

Disney died in 1966, a few years prior to Disney World's opening.

What a vision Disney must have had to create the empire that resulted from a few hundred acres in the middle of Florida.
