Couple Thoughts on a Couple Things

The 1972 Detroit Tigers yearbook lays out the plans for a new multi-purpose, state of the art facility for the Tigers and Lions.

I share this information only because I want to remind people that sometimes PLANS get great press but end up going nowhere. I remember in the '80s and '90s when the Tigers continued to try to find a way to build a new stadium to replace Tiger Stadium. Lots of ideas surfaced, few gained much momentum, but we heard about several of them.

During the World Series, we Chris Brown and I enjoyed Detroit, as usual. We spent a little more time on the field at the Corner of Michigan and Trumbull. I really believe that that property would make complete sense for a multi-purpose hockey and basketball arena. Don't you?

Uncle Kracker's new album, Midnight Special, is okay. It's just laid back country, but one of the tunes, "It Is What It Is" captures things pretty well. You should check it out. His concert at Ground Zero in Traverse City a couple weeks ago was pretty good.
