Amber (and the end of summer)
Early August. Every year. We converge on Elk Rapids, Michigan, and mark the unofficial end of summer during the annual Harbor Days festival. The carnival is a draw for the kids, but it's the weather and chance to visit with friends and family that keeps us going back year after year.
Amber is a senior this year. She wanted to practice for her senior pictures, so we took a few at various spots around ER. This is a pretty good shot with the ferris wheel in the background.
