Rock N Roll Jesus
All right friends and Yankee fan(s), it's time for an ENTERTAINMENT post. You either love him or hate him, there's no in between. The Kid is back in town. The new one arrives in stores next Tuesday, October 9. It's called Rock N Roll Jesus and it's good. It's up already and streaming at http://www.muchmusic.com/music/firstspin/kidrock/, so think about checking it out.
It's a rocker, it's a roller. It has some other musical trips on the journey, but it's (darn) good overall. If you have the time, money, and quick fingers on the Net (plus a great connection), consider logging onto Ticketmaster on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Truckers will be playing the Emerald Theater near Detroit THURSDAY NIGHT at 7 p.m.
Anyway, I'm a Kid Rock fan. He's a Michigan boy, can you feel that?
[On a side note I have a friend who was offended by the title of the new album and bothered that he had to use an extremely foul word on the first single. I told him it would be fun to check out Kid Rock when he tours and he told me he wasn't really interested. For those reasons. I said, "Dude, wait a minute. You're missing something here. This is called 'Rock N Roll Hay–Zeus.' It's a Spanish–influenced album, similar to David Lee Roth's 'Sonrisa Smile.'" He laughed. "Nice try." I never thought I would publicly admit to buying that DLR platter, but I did.]
If you don't want the DVD that Targets packaging with the album, you can buy Rock N Roll Jesus for only $7.88. That's the rumor, anyhow. Jam on it!
