Tiger Aimed Right
This picture was taken during the rain delay last Thursday. When I uploaded it to Flickr, I called it Tiger Aimed Right. Well, with today's victory and a fine performance by the pitchers and hitters, maybe the Tigers are aimed right once again.
I have to admit, watching Justin Verlander melt down and then seeing the hitters give up last night was somewhat distressing. I even found myself saying, "Hey, guys, think of the money we'll save in October if the Tigers don't make the playoffs."
Amazingly, their lead is about the same that it was a month ago -- and a five-game lead in the touch Central Division is nothing to sneeze at ... right? They're playing rough, the Twins are still rolling, and the White Sox are struggling a bit.
Hey, folks, this is the PENNANT RACE ... and I don't know about you, but I've been waiting for stressful September baseball for about 15 years. Let's enjoy the ride!!!
And, if there are any Tigers reading this blog (yeah, right!) enjoy your off day tomorrow!!!
