Winter in the North

We've driven the M–115 to M–37 route several times during the last few weeks and week–ends. This bear crossing sign always captures my attention, so on the way back down state on Sunday, we pulled over and Lori grabbed a quick picture of it.

Both Amber and Courtney said, "There aren't really bears around here, are there."

Also on Sunday, we shot some icy trees, lost turkeys, and sad benches. Right near the Wexford County plow shop, we found a road with all kinds of wildlife and photo opportunities. Lots of snow covers the roads, with ice underneath; the trees were frosty and icy. It was definitely a winter morning.

What else can we discover "up north"?

How about this long and winding shot?
