Carnival Lights
Now that the snow is flying and the roads are icy, it's time to remember summer. We always begin August with the Elk Rapids Harbor Days Festival — have for many, many years.
The midway is always packed with people, as is Elk Rapids. So much action all over the place. The fireworks show Saturday night at 10 p.m. is always one of the greatest in the state. Elk Rapids saves money to build up for an incredible fireworks show ... so much so, that the city doesn't even have a Fourth of July fireworks celebration.

Winter is only a few days away ...
