Zumaya to return to the majors

Rumor out of Detroit is that Joel Zumaya will be back this week–end in Kansas City. I remember his "out of the blue" debut there in 2006. He blew away the Royals and blew away everyone all season.

I hope that the Joel Zumaya who arrives will the the pitcher we expected in 2007 — not the one who showed up, injured. A healthy Zumaya would have a great influence on the Tigers. He was the heir apparent to Todd "Rollercoaster" Jones, but Jones stayed one year longer because "Z" was basically unavailable.
