Schedule Punishment (Thanks, Bud!)

Tom Gage, Detroit News writer, has an interesting article about the Tigers' schedule the last three years. Remember that the Tigers are the team that always ignores baseball's unwritten signing bonus rule for draft picks. One way for MLB to get back at the Tigers is by (giving) them with a tough schedule. For example, four trips to the West Coast in the first 85 games ... whoa! How about the fact (this is what Gage wrote about) that the Tigers during the last three seasons are one of only a few teams that has had only a three–day break at All–Star time rather than four and the ONLY team to start the second half on the road on THREE–DAYS rest. Hey, I'm not complaining, just reporting. Are you ready for some BASEBALL???


The Tigers have tradition and Jimmy's main ambition, is to get them to that classic in the fall. Eat 'em up Tigers, eat 'em up!
