Great Move by the Tigers

I like the Pudge Rodriguez trade for a number of reasons:

1. He was not going to re–sign after the season (he's a free agent)
2. He does not walk much, doesn't hit many homers, and rarely gets clutch hits
3. He is not the great defender he once was
4. He casts a cloud in the clubhouse and basically hurt Alan Trammell as manager (boy, Rick, why bring that up?)
5. The Yankees need a full time catcher
6. The Tigers need a closer
7. The Tigers never wanted to get rid of Farnsworth; he just didn't want to negotiate a contract during the season and wanted to try free agency
8. Pudge is not a Leyland guy
9. Kyle Farnsworth vs. Mike Sweeney (CLASSIC!)
10. Dave Dombrowski always has a reason. Let's trust him this time.
