Thursday's Thirsts
If you can't somehow get some tickets to get into Comerica for the Opener on March 31, consider hanging out at the former State Theater. It's a good time with lots of folks just like you ... wishing they had a ticket, but watching the game on a big screen instead.
I am getting geeked about the upcoming baseball season. The Tigers have a power–packed line–up that just might be the best in baseball. The great thing about the game of baseball, though, is that it is played on the field over 162 games—not on paper. If it were played only on paper, then the powerful Yankees of '06 would have crushed the Tigers of Detroit in the playoffs and went on to lose to the drunken and disorderly Cardinals in the Series. That was not the case. The Tigers are stocked. Let's see what happens. I created a quick and dirty Squidoo™ lens to showcase the upcoming season. Feel free to check it out. Maybe even create your own.

If you want the best updated photos from Spring Training, do not check out the official newspapers and similar sources. Instead, check out Hueytaxi's work. Roger Dewitt does some fine work and keeps us in Michigan well–informed of the happenings in Lakeland, aka Detroit South!
