Punching In
I recently finished reading Punching In. It's a great examination of the working cultures of several different American Brands. UPS, Gap, Starbucks, Enterprise Rent A Car, and Apple. The author is Alex Frankel, a journalist in the San Francisco area. The book is well–written and goes inside of the different companies. It's interesting to note that the more he enjoyed being a part of a corporation (brand) the more space he gives that company in the book. He wrote at length about UPS. He concludes the book raving about UPS, the brand, the people, the power.
It was a fun book to read and I recommend it.
