It is what it is ...
How many times have we heard the phrase, "It is what it is" lately?
It seems like it's ripe for use on sitcoms, sports shows, and in the board room. Everyone utters, "It is what it is." I think I have even heard myself say it.
Each year (yes, this is geeky) I look forward to Lake Superior State University's Banished Words List. I imagine that "It is what it is" might just make it in 2008.
I guess that's just how it goes.
