Congrats, Mr. Leyland

Congratulations to Detroit Tigers Manager Jim Leyland for being named the American League Manager of the Year. His leadership helped to turn around a franchise that was headed nowhere. I remember his April 17 "discussion" with the team after a blowout loss to the Indians on a lazy Sunday afternoon. He said that it had gone on here before and it wasn't acceptable. I think he made a point.

Is anybody out there still in shock and awe that the Tigers were playing in the World Series? It still seems surreal to me!

Go Tigers!

(Oops, Jamie Walker must have heard that ... he's on his way to be a Baltimore Oriole. This is okay, just because they played in the Series doesn't mean they don't need some roster shifting!)
