The Little Professor

Closed Its Doors

Okay, clickbait, this is not necessarily about the Little Professor Book Shoppe in Traverse City, Michigan. It's just about book stores in general. I love a good book store. Heck, I love a bad book store!

The last book I remember buying at Waldenbooks was one by Seth Godin called The Free Prize Inside. I had recently begun reading Seth's blog and was fascinated with his great ideas and frequency of writing. I read somewhere that his latest book actually came in a psuedo-cereal box. I HAD to have it. That is the last book I bought at Waldenbooks.

I don't remember which Waldenbooks it was, but it seems like it was in the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw, Michigan. But, again, I can't be sure there was ever a Waldenbooks there. Waldenbooks went out of business in 2011. The last time I shopped there was probably 2002 or 2004. Toward the end, if the end was nearly 10 years before they went out of business, the supply had dwindled. If you wanted certain books, you had to order them — and by this point, we could all order books on our own.

I wonder when the Little Professor Book Shoppe closed in Traverse City, Michigan?
