Blue Print at the Forefront

Four members of my teaching staff and I have been "Diving Deeper into the Blue Print" at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing this week. The three-day training takes a great amount of thinking and focus.

Vanderbilt has been using the Blue Print as a framework for the district's "improvement work" for the past couple of years. It provides a "common sense" system for schools to use to make themselves better.

The Blue Print is created by the MiExcel team in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Education. The materials are provided and allow district's to use them as they fit a specific district. It is likely that this system, this framework, will become the future of school improvement and accreditation in the State of Michigan.
