Tailgating and Watching Football

'Tis the season …

When the leaves begin to change and the weather gets colder, players get down on the gridiron and battle. It's something that communities look forward to, something communities rally around. Football season. The tailgates. The little kids throwing footballs around and driving the older fans crazy while they're trying to watch the game. The battle on the field. The rivalries. The playoffs. There's just something about Friday Night Lights.

The new uniforms. The new helmet styles. A twist on the logo. A new design on the field. New boosters shirts. The PA announcer. The rain. The sleet. The snow. The unbelievable nice Friday night. The practices. The new coaches. The old coaches. The veteran coaches. New schemes. New offenses. New defenses. Old style. New style. Tradition.

Good luck to all the young men playing football this fall. And good luck to their mentors, the men trying to teach them about football, teamwork, camaraderie, and life. You can learn a lot on the football field.
