Last week–end, Lori and I went to Detroit. We were either going to two Tigers games or to see Shooter Jennings and the .357s Saturday night and the Tigers game Sunday afternoon. The Twins won Saturday, so the Tigers couldn't clinch, so we went to St. Andrew's Hall and watched some great rock 'n' country roll ...

This week–end we took it easy and drove around taking pictures in the mid–Michigan area.


It's pumpkin season. We bought these pumpkins in Winn, Michigan.


The trees are quickly changing colors in our front yard.


As we drove in to Vestaburg yesterday, the sun was setting. This picture is taken from Crystal Road, looking west.

Shooter Jennings at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit. St. Andrew's Hall has a basement which is known as The Shelter. The Shelter is where Eminem used to take part in "battles" to determine the best free–style rhymer.


The people milled around in front of Comerica Park, even as the game was minutes from starting. It was Sunday, October 4, 2009, and the people were nervous. Would this be the Tigers last game?

The "M" is missing, but the Marathon in a neighborhood in Detroit is long abandoned. Still best in the long run?
