Favorite Breakfast Cereal and Sugary, Sugary Soda Pop
Sometimes I think it's funny that I love cereal so much. Always have, really. When I was really young, I enjoyed a few bowls of Sugar Bear every day. It's called Super Sugar Crisp now. I've enjoyed different cereals forever. I even went through the period of "Ricky Likes It" because I thought Life was okay. Today, I'm eating a bowl of Cheerios. One summer, while an undergrad and before I had a clue how to turn on a stove, I lived alone in Mt. Pleasant, took classes, and survived on (this is embarrassing) 43 boxes of cereal during the summer. That and fast food.
But people love to sell nostalgia. I saw recently where they're releasing a series of breakfast cereals with "old school" boxes — you know, how they were in 1975. Now, Pepsi is releasing Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback ... made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. (Wow, that must be a lot healthier ...) Sure does sound good, though.
Well, I guess I better get ready for school.
