How is Alan Trammell not in the Hall of Fame?

rickie, rickie, rickie....alan trammel is not in the hall of fame because he is/was an average ss at best. look how the position has evolved over time.....back in the day..50's, 60's 70's, 80's, sure trammel would have been/was a pretty decent ss. But in the 90's, and the current decade, the current crop of ss are putting up numbers that your beloved trammel could only dream of. Hall of fame is for the elite, the best of the best, not the middle of the pack guys. Its ok rickie, your passion is genuine, your enthusiasm is contagious, you are awesome. Now remember though, your beloved tigers have, in recent years, been among MLB's free spenders, and it has not panned out for them. Nobody has ever said that the spending in MLB has to be even...if Ilich wants to spend millions go right ahead, if the rays want to be penny pinchers, go ahead, to each their own....don't hate because some teams want to put a qality product on the field, regardless of the cost...would much rather have my team spend the big bucks and try to compete night in and night out vs just fielding a team, putting out a squad on the diamond that is full of low priced AAA talent just to save money.....
