Detroit, Michigan, 1982

That must be Ricky.
The fourth grade field trip in Kingsley, Michigan, was the best back in the '80s. I'm not sure if they still go on the same trip, but 26 years ago we went to Detroit. We went to Greenfield Village one day and then to Tiger Stadium the next day. We must have went down state on Friday and returned home on Saturday after the Tigers game. The Tigers won 5–1 and the only two California Angels hits were by short stop Tim Foli, and one of them was a home run. I don't remember the game being on a Saturday, but I'm positive that Tim Foli had the only home run of the game ... It must have been May 22, 1982. I think the baseball helmet I purchased that day was the Seattle Mariners, but I'm not positive. I still have all the hats and helmets from the 26 baseball teams from the '80s — yes, even the Montreal ELBs, er Expos. Every game I attended in the '80s turned out to be an opportunity to add to my helmet and hat collection. Often, we would purchase hats outside Tiger Stadium because they were cheaper; but we bought the replica helmets inside.
Notice my shirt ... modeled after the Chicago White Sox unique design at the time.
My mom designed the shirt; she even created a red Tigers hat to go with this unique alternate shirt that is ONE OF A KIND. These shirts and hats and helmets are all still in storage in Elk Rapids. 26 years flew.
