Grand Old Slam

Well, I turned the game on in the 8th inning, watched a hit, walk, and Grand Slam. Then, I turned the game off with the score tied 7–7. Wow, am I glad I turned it off.

"Only minutes after Marcus Thames had launched a grand slam into the distant seats at U.S. Cellular Field, tying the second game 7-7 in the eighth inning, the White Sox followed with their own grand slam, by pinch-hitter and former Tigers farmhand Dewayne Wise.It came in the bottom of the eighth off Kyle Farnsworth and followed a bad-hop single off the glove of third baseman Mike Hessman. What should have been an easy third out, preserving a tie game into the ninth inning, instead helped the White Sox to a sweep and sent the Tigers to their fourth consecutive loss" (Source: Detroit News).

At least the Lions never give us anything to get excited about, except, you know, 1991.
