Time Flies Like Gasoline Through a Carburetor (or something like that, anyway)

When you look at the price of gasoline at Morgan's Service in the picture, you immediately wonder when the picture was taken. To put things in perspective, in 2000, gas cost about $1.46/gallon. So, if the gas was somewhat cheaper, maybe the picture was taken in ... say, 1997. Well, it would have had to have been before Labor Day Week–end because that's the last time gasoline was pumped at Morgan's Service. It's hard to believe that it's been 11 years since they stopped selling gas. Time really flies. I don't remember when the picture was taken, or even who took it. My mom probably took it, but I might have. Was the purpose to catch a moment in time or just to capture Morgan's?
