Kid Rock's coming to his hometown and he's promising "surprise appearances by other music icons."

Those icons -- Bob Seger, among them, perhaps? -- will be joining him at 8 p.m. Feb. 8 at Joe Louis Arena. Tickets range from $26.50-$45 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Joe and Fox Theatre box offices, Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com and (248) 645-6666.

Run DMC's Rev Run will open the show.

Rock, whose "Rock N Roll Revival" tour launches next month, originally announced a Feb. 9 show at a Detroit venue to be determined. Since he usually sells out his hometown gigs, it's possible that promoters plan to add a second show on Feb. 9 if tickets for the first one sell quickly.

The tour is in support of his new "Rock N Roll Jesus" CD, which debuted at No. 1 in October.
