Neifi Perez + Banned Substance = Suspension
In case you haven't heard, Tigers infielder Neifi Perez has been suspended by Major League Baseball for 25 games for testing positive for a stimulant.
This is not a terrible event for the Tigers, who have already started to clean up the situation. We'll see what happens.

In order news, excellent Fox writer Ken Rosenthal suggests that the Braves have tried to acquire malcontent, oops, I mean Nats' first–sacker Dmitri Young. I haven't decided if seeing the girlfriend–beating, cocaine–snorting, Tiger–bashing, alcoholic represent the Nationals in the All–Star game is a good thing or a joke.
Hey, I cheered louder than anyone the day he hit three homers to beat the Royals all by himself during the '05 opener. Never seen anyone fade away (well, the way he ballooned, fade away doesn't sound quite right) as quickly as he did. By the way, whatever happened to our other limo driver, Bobby, anyway? I miss him. In fact, I think the guy in front of me in left field the day DY hit the three homers was quite upset when I argued that he wasn't actually on pace for 544 homers. I said I'd stick with 273 and the thought I WAS CRAZY!
DY. In happier days. Before things go too hairy for him.
Bobby Higginson is still "the dude" to me.
Do you think '05 was a turning point of sorts for the Tigers?
Hey, the All–Star game was huge during a lackluster season. Now the Tigers have five on the team and should have EIGHT.
Tune in later for more.
Neifi, we hardly knew ya.
