A Quaint Little Amusement Park With A Serious Employee Problem

What really disappointed me, more than anything else, about our attempted check in at Cedar Point was that no manager would make him/herself present and explain what was happening.

No one ever did explain why the cabins were not ready. In fact, the front desk employees just kept placing the blame on the housekeepers. They provided no other explanation, but insisted that it was unique for several of the cabins to be dirty.

We asked for a manager to come forth. The excuse was that the manager—allegedly Nicole—was too busy trying to get things figured out to have time to make a brief appearance. Perhaps she was scared of the crowd.

Maybe she realized that Cedar Point had screwed up and didn't want to admit it.

Customer service makes a huge difference ...

If you visit an amusement park and the rides are okay, but the park is clean, refreshing, and the employees are part of the experience, you are likely to return.

If you visit an amusement park and the rides are incredible, but the park is dirty, the people are unenthusiastic, and the employees are gruff and unresponsive, you may never return.

Cedar Point is a kickin' amusement park with an employee problem. The problem may not be the employees—it well could be the management.
