The Tigers Rough Week-end

The Tigers are currently six games behind their pace in 2006.

Remember, though, the Tigers faded after August 12 in 2006 and the season ended in less-than-desirable fashion for the Detroit Nine. Think about what we have going on, however: Kenny Rogers has been out all season; Joel Zumaya joined him on the disabled list and will be out until August; Fernando Rodney is on the DL; Jeremy Bonderman has visited the DL, as well. [This is not a list of excuses; this is fact.]

Things have been difficult for them. The bullpen has not been nearly as lights out as it was in '06. The offense has been incredible, especially Magglio Ordonez.

Things will be all right. The sky is not falling. A sweep by the Indians is not the end of the world. The Tigers are going to be okay. The Roar, restored last year, is still with us. We all have a reason to roar ... Be patient, Tiger fans. It's gonna be all right!

Stay tuned for more!
