It's Time to FIRE MILLEN! (FIRE MILLEN echo ... echo ... echo)
Just some random ramblings ....
The Tigers are winning games when they aren't dominating. It's been fun listening to games so far. It's funny when listening to the radio and talking to someone who's watching the game on TV. Strangely, the TV is about 12 seconds ahead. If you're talking to someone who is watching on satellite, they're further behind than radio. It makes one wonder when the game is really happening. What if the game actually hasn't happened and you have 10 seconds to make a major wager ...
Interesting to see the former Number 1 picks under Matt Millen (FIRE MILLEN!) who have been jettisoned by the Lions. Usually it's the replacement general manager who comes in and gets rid of the previous GM's mistakes (read Dave Dombrowski replacing a great many of Randy Smith's mistakes). Heck, Millen is getting rid of his own people. Wow!
The Wings and Pistons are moving along in their annual playoffs. The Wings got a good win in overtime out in San Jose (does anyone else think that hockey doesn't belong in California and Florida, let alone Phoenix?). The Pistons have a solid team, so let's hope they take it to the next level.
I thought it was cool last summer when Midland, Mich., became home to a professional fastpitch softball team, the Michigan Ice. Well, I went to check their schedule, thinking of taking in game this summer, and they are no more. The league's Web site doesn't even say what became of them ...
Really, Mr. Ford, FIRE MILLEN! The time has indeed come. Six years ago ...
Cheers!
