Happy Birthday to Ernie Harwell

I would like to send out a special with to Ernie Harwell on his 89th birthday. He helped to make my grandpa's 90th birthday party very special on Aug. 3, 2005, when he provided an autographed photograph and even called Grandpa to wish him a happy birthday.

It was in 1989 when my grandpa was quoted in Sports Illustrated by Joe Falls as saying he works every day from seven in the morning until "five minutes to Ernie." I remember looking for the article for several weeks when my mom told me it would be running soon. A junior in high school, I finally found it one morning in the Elk Rapids High School library. It was so cool.
