A great big moo cow!

I know that it's time to think educationally again. So, I've been thinking a lot about the thinking that we do in education. Believe it or not, it takes a lot of planning (and with that planning, thinking) to make things tick in education. I'm going to address a few things here, but I'm going to focus on the following two items first:

Everyone's An Expert

Really Bad Powerpoint

Who's There?

The two e-books above are works by Seth Godin. Godin is a writer, riffer, and marketer whose ideas mostly relate to business. However, his business ideas can also be related, I believe, to education. One of his most successful books is one in which he was basically the editor. Thirty-three well-known business writers put together a book called The Big Moo. I was reading it earlier today. I read a piece about the Apple Store's famous Genius Bars and the man who hires people to work for the "bars."

I started to think ... "Wouldn't it be cool to gather several educators and have them create something like The Big Moo? Maybe we could start by creating a blog. Interested in blogging, then read Who's There? Have you checked out Squidoo? Would you like to make a lens? Then check out Everyone's An Expert. Do you use Powerpoint? Then you have to read the Powerpoint e-book mentioned above. The links will take you to PDFs.

I know that somebody out there has to be intrigued by this ...

Have a great day!!!
