Sunday Night Baseball
It was an electric atmosphere on Sunday night in Detroit Rock City. The Tigers LOST the game, 2-1, but had a chance to win it in the bottom of the ninth. It reminds me of the shirt I purchased at Fanatic U just prior to the game: Detroit - Nine Hard Innings.
During the game, I received a text message from my former college roommate, Brian. Usually, since he lives about 20 minutes from the stadium, I'll text him and say, "Hey, I'm at the Tigers game." So, Sunday night, he decided to text me that he was in the THIRD ROW behind the dugout. Instead of texting him back, I called and said, "I'm here, too." After visiting with Brian and his wife, Michelle, for a few minutes, we headed back to our seats. Then, he called and said they had a couple of seats open ... Third row to watch Zoom Zoom Zumaya throwing was pretty cool.
Again, the Tigers did not win, but they made it a game. Wil Ledezma pitched a nice game.
If you get a chance, visit Fanatic U in Garden City. It's a cool place, with all kinds of great memorabilia. If you have a Tigers jersey you're looking for, that's your store.
