All-Star Selection Sunday
It wasn't really a surprise that only two Tigers made the All-Star squad because the respect isn't there yet for the team with the best record in baseball. It will come with time, though.
It is a shame Shame SHAME that the Kansas City Royals only representative has the following statistics: 5 wins, 4 losses, and a 5.59 ERA. Yes, former Tiger Mark Redman has made the team. His statistics are terrible and he should not be going to the game.
It's time for Major League Baseball to get rid of the onus that every team must have a representative. It's just not a good policy, really. The Royals really do not have a player who is justified to be on an All-Star team.
The Tigers who made the team are Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez and Kenny "The Gambler" Rogers. Congratulations, gentlemen. The other two who I believe should be there are Justin Verlander and Curtis Granderson.
