The Great Bubblegum Conspiracy
You watchin' the Tigers game tonight?
Starting pitcher Nate Robertson has been fun to watch during this game. He's been attacking the Big League Chew ... and each time he's added a cud, the Tigers have scored some runs.
It's 6-5 right now, the Yankees are leading. But I saw Nate grab an unopened package for the last three innings ...
Look out, Yanks!
(Do you know who invented Big League Chew?)

Joe Torre! Wow, Rick you are getting some quality readers. Nate-dog was funny with his Big League Chew, know he needs to end the Sweep talk Mr. Torre is chanting about. I believe a former player named Tito Fuentes came up with Big League Chew. I believe the story goes: Brother Michael says, "Tito, you can't be a back up singer in my band anymore and you can't hit your way out of a bubble gum wrapper." So young Tito, tired of chewing old cigars came up with the idea of gum in a tobbaco bag.
Here I am....Mr. Big League Chew....come and get some...help the cause, turn young big leaguers into bubble gum chewers...not tobacco users.....
SWEEP......SWEEP.......SWEEP.......young ball players you gotta take advantage of the outs that you are given.....how many foul pop ups is pudge going to drop......the guy has got to come up with those outs.....take Jorge Posada for instance. Now there is a ball players....a MAJOR LEAGUE ball player even.....A-Rod is another the guy just goes about his business of hitting, fielding, throwing, and running...class act that A-Rod.
Mr. Steinbrenner, see I told you you should go ahead and trade for A. Rod. You didn't want to. You said, "That kid from Kalamazoo, whatz iz name, Jetes, he'll be mad and leave us as a free agent. But I said, 'no, make the trade.'"
Come on, Tigers!
Your site is on top of my favourites - Great work I like it.
