Mike Maroth faces the Angels tonight

Mike Maroth, he of the 3-0 start, goes against the Los Angeles Angels tonight. If he starts the year 4-0, he will be the first Bengal to do so since 1993. A relatively young left-hander named David Wells (link) was the last to do so. That in itself is hard to believe.

That was also, coincidently, the last good year in Tigers history. And the first bad year in Jim Leyland's managing career (link). Apparently, one of his better players left as a free agent following the '92 playoffs. Can't believe Bonds has been a Giant for so long!

This, so far, has been the Tigers most successful West Coast jaunt in as long as I can remember. It's fun getting up in the morning and reading the box score and seeing that they did well! Now, they just have to find a way to win at home!

Thanks for tuning in!
