Hidden Costs

The other day, I wrote about the hidden costs of Easter Brunch. I'm sure there are others, but what other hidden costs are out there. A buffet, of course, is a classic example of something containing hidden costs, but there must be others ...

Is there a secret way around hidden costs? Can they be avoided? With a buffet dinner, you certainly have the choice to drink water instead of a different beverage. Heck, water is actually better for you than most other beverages, anyway.

Please let me know if you can think of other things that we purchase, participate in, or play that have hidden costs ...
